October Heroes

Roger Warrick's new painting "October Heroes" debuted September 7 at the International Motor Racing Research Center at Watkins Glen, where it was well received by all those in attendance.

The reviews are in:

Vic Franzese, Glen Motor Inn owner: "To me it is awesome. As I look at it, I see what was my family for a third of my life. Roger has done just an outstanding job on this artwork. It comes alive for me."

Derek Bell, who first stayed at the Glen Motor Inn during his first Formula One race in 1968 and then for many years of his racing career: "I think it's fabulous. You can recognize every single driver and I think that's wonderful. The Glen Motor Inn was a major part of the US Grand Prix and whenever I come to the Glen I want to stay there. Every Grand Prix driver used to stay in that hotel. It is a Watkins Glen tradition and the painting is a fitting tribute."

The scene features The Glen Motor Inn, with over fifty drivers and racing personalities connected with the history of the Grand Prix races at Watkins Glen.

The finished print measures 24"x36". Each print is supplied with a key sketch which will identify all the characters in the scene.
